Suggestion: Mouse Position

Just have a suggestion when using "screen as overlay" for desktop prototypes.

It would nice if one of the screen "position" choices was "mouse position". So the overlay screen could display where the mouse position is.

Perhaps it would need an anchor point too (top - above the mouse...right, left, bottom etc...).

Additionally there could be a sub option to have the screen follow the mouse until overlay is close (on click).

This would allow you to emulate drag and drop behavior in the prototypes.

Thanks

    Hi Eric,

Thank you very much for providing this feedback. While it isn't currently possible to set the screen position to "mouse position" as this time, I can suggest two workarounds that could potentially solve this issue for you:

         1. You can use the keyboard arrow keys to shift an overlay pixel-by-pixel when using custom positioning.
         2. Another option is to use the preset positions (e.g. Top Right) and then enter number of px from the Top/Bottom and number of px from the Right/Left to shift positioning.

Please let me know if either of these workarounds work for you. In the meantime, I will open a ticket on your behalf adding your vote for this feature that our Support team is already tracking. Please look for a message confirming your vote soon.

    Have a great day,

Thanks for the reply and workaround suggestions.

The difference between those workarounds and my suggestion is that "mouse position" could allow the screen to follow your mouse movements even after it is initially shown.  Current options only set position on show, but do not continue to update the position on mouse move.

Just a thought I wanted to pass along.

    Thanks again
