New hotspot in Sketch app doesn't sync in Invision

New hotspot in Sketch app doesn't sync in Invision. For the old hotspot, they are stuck while I'm scrolling.

*** I already removed all of the craft installations and installed a new one. I did everything proactively every solution I've seen in this forum.

Every time I sync, Craft keeps telling me that there's something an error in my uploads. The syncing problem started with the new Sketch update. What I am gonna do?

Hey Rocky,

That's really odd that your hotspots are not scrolling. Just want to make sure you've checked the box to Maintain scroll position after gesture in your Sketch Craft prototyping popup?

Hi, Lala,

I tried both. Same problem. This is only a part of the big issue regarding the Sketch app and Invision recent updates.

The main problem is that the NEWLY ADDED HOTSPOT is not updating in Invision synced files (though I saw the images are updating). The old hotspots are still there and intact except it was stuck in scrolling position (before the Sketch 49 update). I don't know what may cause it (for sure the Sketch recent update that makes this Invision craft goes crazy...

I have the same problem. Created a new Sketch file and made the hotspots in Sketch. None of the hotspots is included in the sync. Sketch 49.1 and Craft 1.0.55

Hi Christine,

Thanks for following up. Sorry for the trouble with hotspots not showing up in InVision after syncing with Craft. 

As a next step, I'd like to have you perform a comprehensive, deep uninstall/reinstall of Craft using the steps below. Please skip any steps that are not applicable (e.g. if a file/folder mentioned is not present) and let me know if you get stuck anywhere along the way: 

  1. Close Craft Manager (by clicking into the "C" > clicking the gear icon > choosing Close).
  2. Go into Sketch, and navigate to Plugins ➝ Manage Plugins.
  3. In the pop-up modal, select Craft by InVision Labs, and click the gear icon in the lower left and select the uninstall option. This will move some items to the trash.
  4. Quit Sketch entirely.
  5. Open the Activity Monitor (via Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor), and then force quit the Craft Manager and Panels (if applicable) processes.
  6. Open Spotlight and search for ~/Library/Application Support/
  7. Delete the com.invisionlabs.CraftManager folder, the com.invisionlabs.CraftManager.json file, the com.invisionlabs.CraftInstaller folder, and the CraftManager folder.
  8. Open the com.bohemiancoding.sketch3 folder.
  9. Delete the Panels folder (if applicable). Please note that these steps will remove any custom Type or Photos items you’ve created in Craft Data. If you'd like to preserve those, please go to ~/Library/Application Support/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3/Panels/.settings and back up the file "com.invisionlabs.data."
  10. Open the Plugins folder.
  11. Delete the Panels.sketchplugin file (if applicable).
  12. Navigate to the Downloads folder.
  13. Search for craftinstaller and delete any files that deal with the Craft Installation process.
  14. In Applications or the folder in which you installed Craft Manager, delete CraftManager.app.
  15. Empty the Trash.
  16. Go to https://craft-assets.invisionapp.com/CraftManager/production/CraftManager.zip and unzip the CraftManager
  17. Drag and drop the Craft Manager app into your computer's "Applications" folder or the folder of your choice before launching it.
  18. Open Craft Manager and then install Craft for Sketch.
  19. If you had backed up the "com.invisionlabs.data" file before performing these steps: launch Sketch now in order to rebuild the ` ~/Library/Application Support/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3/Panels/.settings ` directory. Then, place the backed up "com.invisionlabs.data" file in the ".settings" folder and restart Sketch to restore your custom Type & Photos items.

I've been reading through threads (most recently this one) to find some support on why Invision hotspots (applied directly into Invision prototypes) keep shifting around the screen when syncing with Sketch?

This is a real problem to be honest as each time i'm syncing I have to manually reapply hotspots that have moved, i'm using all the latest versions of craft, sketch.

This has been an issue for the last few weeks (but I can see the support item has been open for nearly 6 months). Does this happen with Studio too?

Hi Ben,

Sorry to hear that you're running into issues with syncing hotspots. Can you confirm whether you are syncing at 1x or 2x pixel density when you are syncing to InVision? This may be the root of your issue. Often times when people sync at 2x pixel density, hotspots shift.

To further troubleshoot this issue, can you please provide the following information?:

     1. Can you please provide a screenshot of the version of Craft Manager are you using?
     2. Can you please provide a screenshot of the version of the Craft Sync plugin are you using?
     3. Have you attempted the comprehensive uninstall/reinstall instructions above?
     4. Can you please provide a screencast of the issues you are encountering?
     5. Can you please provide a screenshot of the version Sketch are you using?

Regarding your question about Studio, I have not personally seen this as a reported issue. However, that's not to say that some have not encountered this issue. We are continually gathering feedback about all of our products, and our Support, Engineering, and Product teams are all working together on solutions to issues encountered by our customers.

Shaina, your steps to delete and reinstall Craft appear to have gotten one of the hotspots to update. But others are still not syncing up to invision. There's doesn't seem to be a pattern on why some work and some don't.
