Crashing sketch while syncing on that stage -
Using sketch 49, and craft manager 1.0.49
I can confirm that this issue is absolutely related to the release of Sketch 49.
In order to get things working correctly again, please try updating as @Xavier did by using the following steps:
1. Uninstall all the Craft plugins from Sketch 2. Uninstall Craft Manager 3. Restart computer 4. Download the new version of Craft Manager and you're back in business!
If anybody else is still having issues after performing the update, please be sure to post here and I will notify our Support team.

in the meanwhile I rolled back to 48.2 (re-save the file) and it works fine. plz solve it!
im on macOS High sierra 10.13.3
I reinstalled the Craft uploader. Works fine now with latest sketch version 49.
Have the same problem but the solution is not working for me! Did uninstall both, restarted and installed new craft but selecting and artboard and clicking on sync doesn't do anything - no "Preparing to sync.." pop up, no sound or so. Its prompts me to save the document, but then its doing nothing.. My colleague has the same issue.
Working on Sketch 49, CraftManager 1.0.52 (78), Sync 2.3.58, InVision Enterprise account.
the invision team advised me to disable the bartender app. and this works! Thanks :)
Its impossible for me to upload an artboard with a lot of symbols. Craft crashes my sketch. I'm spending a lot of time for upload pages. I have a good internet connection, and I spend 10 minutes per page for upload .... it's impossible to work in this conditions ...
I am having the same issue. Craft was working fine until I updated to Sketch 49. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall Craft manager but that did not do the trick for me. Same issue where I try to sync to InVision but it crashes when it says its processing symbols. Please advise.
*FIXED -- UPDATE*
I was told to check to make sure I was running the latest Craft Manager plug in, v 1.0.52, and I wasn't. So I updated the Craft Plug in and sync now works again!

Same issue here. I've attempted the uninstall, restart, reinstall with no change. Really frustrating when your on a deadline.
Same issue here. Have tried uninstalling Craft and the Sketch plugins, restarting, re-installing and it's not working. What's the status of getting this fixed? Understand it might be a complex problem.

I wanted to chime in on this. I also had the same problem this morning. I had to uninstall all my plugins (from the sketch system, close out craft manager, shut down sketchapp, and then update to latest craft manager). This solved my issue and I haven't crashed since then. I also removed a few other plugins I was using just to make sure it wasn't any of those.

I tried your suggestion, but this did not work. which I experienced just like Christoph Huppert. sync does not display a popup like freehand tool, though I have to click many times.
