Craft Sync extension has not been added to Photoshop

Photoshop version: 2017.1.1

OS: Windows 10 Pro

I made sure Photoshop was not running before the installation and went through 1-7 of the following steps:

1. Download Craft Sync's Windows installer (https://s3.amazonaws.com/www-assets.invisionapp.com/labs/craft/CraftInstaller-win.zip
2. Click Yes to allow the program to make changes to the device.
3. Click Install.
4. Once the download is complete, click Finish.
5. Restart your machine.
6. Open the Control Panel and verify Craft Sync installing.
7. Open Photoshop.
8. Select the Window option from the menu, followed by selecting Extension > Sync.
9. You will receive an access alert, please ensure to click Allow Access.

In the Control Panel, the programs list shows Craft has installed. However, it is not shown in the Extensions listed in Photoshop.

There are no other versions of Photoshop on the machine that would cause a conflict.

Do you have any recommendations? Thanks.

    Hi there!

I want to rule out the possibility that any part of the automatic installation failed. As such, can you please uninstall the Craft plugin from within the Control Panel, and then ensure that you have removed the 'C:\Users\<user_id>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEP\extensions\com.invisionlabs.sync' folder (if applicable).

Once you have completely uninstalled Craft from your computer, please completely close out of Photoshop and ensure that it is not running via your Task Manager. Please then proceed with the following:

    1. Download Craft Sync's Windows installer (https://s3.amazonaws.com/www-assets.invisionapp.com/labs/craft/CraftInstaller-win.zip
    2. Click Yes to allow the program to make changes to the device.
    3. Click Install.
    4. Once the download is complete, click Finish.
    5. Restart your machine.
    6. Open the Control Panel and verify Craft Sync installing.
    7. Open Photoshop.
    8. Select the Window option from the menu, followed by selecting Extension > Sync.
    9. You will receive an access alert, please ensure to click Allow Access.

Please let me know if you are still running into issues after performing the above.

    Thanks!

I am also having the same issue. Installation seems to complete, shows in control panel (v. 2.0.52), does not show up in photoshop.

    Followed the above steps. Unsuccessful.

    Hello all,

After I passed along this link to tech support at my company, they were able to resolve the issue. Perhaps it might be of some help in your situation as well.

    Hi Binh,

Can you please describe the exact issue you are running into? Are you simply unable to install Craft Sync on your Windows machine?

Please be sure to check out our documentation on Craft by InVision LABS here as well.

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Shaina

I have Window 10 and ran into this same problem. On my window, there are multiple accounts. In order for me to succesfully install Sync, I had to be given administrative permission. I.e. if your account is not set as Administrator, it would not work. In my case, I had to be assigned as Admin and then run installer as administrator. It worked that way.

    Hope this helps.
