Craft Syncing assets from photoshop

Hi I am new to Invision and CraftSync. I have just downloaded it and used it to sync a project (works well).

I am in inspect mode and loving the features but when I click on assets it just says the following:

Select assets for export

Send your designs to InVision with Craft Sync. All of your exported layers and slices will appear here.

Is there a trick I am missing? I am expecting the image assets to be taken out of the artboard and would be available within this assets folder automatically. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Andy

Ok I have figured it out. You need to rename each layer to have the image extension. Doh!

Is there a way to export a photoshop slice as an asset? For example, my image in Photoshop actually is made up of multiple layers and masks. I only want the visible portion of the combine group of layers as an asset.

    Hi Lee,

Just to make sure I'm understanding your question, are you trying to view a Photoshop slice as an asset when Inspecting?

Look forward to hearing back and helping out!

    Thanks,

    Lala

That's correct, Lala. I would expect to be able draw a slice around a section of the screen in photoshop and have that export as an asset.
