Hotspots & artboard names not uploading / syncing to invisionapp properly

I am using craft plugin for sketch, OSX.

I just duplicated a sketch file that i used for a project, added some new design elements, hotspots, renamed artboards and created a new project to sync it to.

Problem is, the new designs on the artboard are being uploaded to the new project, but the artboard names are staying old and the hotspots are not .

If i delete the whole project and try again with a new one nothing helps. If I try syncing 'All artboards' or 'Selected artboards', it makes no difference. 

I do have about 30 artboards, with quite some number of hotspots if it is a problem with a max limit of hotspots.

This doesnt explain why the artboard names are being ignored. Its almost like a cache issue of board names and hotspots.

Of course I clear browser cache, and because the designs are updated, its todo with the syncing cache??.

 

This is really frustrating, because I just signed up everyone at my workplace for this plugin, but its causing me grief.

    After working with our Support team, we have found that this is the intended behavior for now. After updating an artboard name and resyncing it, the screen display name in InVision will remain unchanged as Lynsey observed. However, the screen filename (which appears in grey below the screen name) is indeed updated. Our team is aware of this behavior and it is something we are tracking. We're monitoring interest and reviewing whether we should add this functionality to our product. 

    In the meantime, you'll need to manually update the screen display names which could be done by comparing it to the grey filename below. This can ban be an issue at times as longer names are truncated and the new name may be difficult to see. We know this is by no means ideal — hopefully, we can have the names automatically updated upon resync in the future.

    I think i have found the problem...

    I had changed one of the artboards to -[ARTBOARD_NAME] (minus prefix) to remove it from the syn,

    however this stopped all the artboards which had hotspots linking to [ARTBOARD_NAME] from syncing...

    So, I think if a hotspot is broken, it stops the artboard from syncing, but doesnt let you know it wasn't updated.

    Another problem... I dont think the artboards like have slashes in their name...

    Hey Geremy,

    It sounds like you're discovering syncing issues when artboards have “/” in their name, which shouldn’t be the case. I'm going to open a ticket with Support on your behalf- they'll likely request your file and confirm Craft Sync versions, as I believe that may have been an old bug. Keep your eyes peeled for a response from them!

    Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this problem! A few questions for you:

    1. Are you using the most up to date version of Craft and Sketch?
    2. Can you please provide an example of when you have experienced this issue?
    3. Do you have any artboards with the same name?

    2. When I change the name or delete an artboard and sync, the names don't change and the deleted artboards aren't removed.

    Why would someone have an artboard with one name in the computer and other name in the cloud? That was not good. 

    If something's wrong, least you can do is accept it and commit to fix it. We pay a subscription and we expect improvement. That is the expected behavior, which should be more relevant than the 'intended' one.

    I understand the intended behavior when manually sorting artboards. However, if sorted alphanumerically, I would like to see the artboards change order when re-uploading (using Craft Sync) with updated artboard names, otherwise what's the point of alphanumeric sort?
