Making changes via overrides

Article Summary

Just like adding design elements, the DSM-Sketch integration allows you to work within Sketch’s built-in functionality for overrides. You can swap several elements—layer styles, text styles, and symbols—and override design properties within components. Using overrides allows you to select from a list of approved and shared colors, text, and components that already exist within your design system, which makes getting design properties effortless and quick.

If you're using more than one design system in your file—for example, if your team uses one for your foundation elements, one for mobile and one for desktop—you can access all the different managed libraries available to you so you can grab exactly what you need.

WarningYou'll need to have added a design system's managed libraries before you see any design elements.
