Join a freehand as a guest or member
You can be invited to join a freehand as a guest or member via email or using a document link. To accept the invitation and join the freehand, you’ll need to follow the steps below.
To accept an invite to access and edit a freehand as a guest or member:

- In your email inbox, open the email inviting you to access the freehand.
You will find it with this subject line: “[Name] shared [Freehand name] with you".
- Click the Open Freehand button.
- In the new browser window that opens, sign in to your InVision account or sign up for a new InVision account.
- The Freehand will open and you will be able to start collaborating.
If you were already signed in to your team account, the Freehand will open in a new browser window after clicking Open Freehand.
- In your email inbox, open the email inviting you to access the freehand.
If you’re already a member of the team, you can also access the freehand directly from your Documents page as soon as you’re invited to it.
To access and edit a freehand as a guest or member using a document link:

- Navigate to the document link you’ve received.
- Enter your email address and password and click Sign in.
- The Freehand will open and you will be able to start collaborating.
Join a freehand as a visitor
To access and edit a freehand for a limited period of time (48 hours) as a visitor:

- Navigate to the document link you’ve received.
- Click Join to collaborate.
- Enter your name and email address and click Continue as visitor.
- You will receive an email inviting you to collaborate on the freehand. Open the email and click the button Activate Your 48 Hour Access to access and edit the Freehand for a limited period of time of 48 hours.
To access and edit the freehand as a visitor, you will need to access the document using the link you receive via email.
