Article Summary

InVision offers a number of integrations and add-ons that let you integrate Jira with Freehand or InVision V7.

Project planning in Freehand with the Jira add-on

The Jira add-on for Freehand allows you to combine Freehand’s flexible canvas with Jira’s structured project tracking tool, seamlessly taking product collaboration from ideation to execution. The Jira add-on in Freehand allows you to:

  • Import Jira issues to Freehand from Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center.
  • Create Jira issues directly from sticky notes and cards.
  • Any changes made to the Jira ticket details will be reflected live in the Jira card in Freehand.

Learn more here: Jira add-on for Freehand.

If you’re using Jira Data Center, an Admin or Owner on your InVision account will need to configure Jira in order to use the Jira add-on in Freehand. Learn how to configure Jira Data Center to use the Jira add-on in Freehand here: Configuring Jira Data Center to use the Jira add-on in Freehand.

The InVision V7 Specs integration helps streamline the design to development collaboration flow by connecting spec files directly to their corresponding Jira issues. Once someone links a spec to Jira, your team will collaborate as usual in the spec file on InVision, yet your developers will have immediate access to the latest updates for the spec within either Jira Cloud or Jira Server and Data Center. Learn more here: Linking a spec to Jira.
