Article Summary

Freehand seamlessly integrates with Asana to help maximize time management and reduce task switching. Collaborate with your team in Freehand, then embed the freehand into an Asana project brief to give your team full context and access to the most up-to-date information.

Before you begin

Here are a few things to know before you add a freehand to Asana:

  • Make sure you have access to Freehand and Asana to make use of the integration.
  • The permissions set in Freehand determine who will be able to see and interact with the freehand in Asana.
  • Anyone can embed a freehand in an Asana project brief if they have viewer access in Freehand.

Edit a freehand that is embedded in Asana

The Freehand + Asana integration is designed with real-time updates in mind.

Making changes in Freehand: Any changes made to the freehand on the InVision platform will automatically appear in the embedded view in the Asana project brief. This means viewers will have access to the latest updates.

Making changes in Asana: Users can interact with the freehand right in an Asana project brief. They can comment, use keyboard shortcuts and add-ons, and more. Any changes made to the freehand in Asana will automatically update on the InVision platform.

Remove a freehand from an Asana project brief

You can remove a freehand from an Asana project brief at any time. The freehand will still be available on the InVision platform. If you accidentally remove a freehand from an Asana project brief, you can add it again by following the steps here: Embedding a freehand in an Asana project brief
