Change a prototype's background in InVision V7 V7

Background color or image

InVision pulls the bottom corner pixel colors and tries to match the background as closely as possible. If the background color isn't quite perfect, however, you can change it in just a few quick steps.

You can change the background on all screens in the prototype or change the screens background individually.

To change the background color in a specific screen:

1. Open the prototype and navigate to a screen.
2. Select Build mode.
3. At the top-left corner of your screen, click Custom Appearance.
4. In the modal, under Background Color, enter a new hex code, use the eyedropper, or select one of the preset colors. You can also replace the background color with an image by clicking Upload New or selecting an image you previously updated in the Background Image dropdown.
   

   You can select the following background image options in the Background Mode menu: center, tile, tile horizontally, fixed, stretch, or fill.

5. Click Apply Settings.

To change the background color in all screens in a prototype:

1. Open the prototype and navigate to a screen.
2. Toward the right end of the console toolbar, click Global appearance.
3. In the modal, under Background Color, enter a new hex code, use the eyedropper,or select one of the preset colors. You can also replace the background color with an image by clicking Upload New or selecting an image you previously updated in the Background Image dropdown.
   You can select the following background image options in the Mode menu: center, tile, tile horizontally, fixed, stretch, or fill.
4. To use the background on all screens in the prototype, removing any settings you’ve previously set in individual screens, click the Remove overrides and apply to all screens checkbox.
5. Click Apply Settings.
