This article provides answers for non-Enterprise InVision V7 customers only. Not sure which version you're using? Find out now.

If you're on a paid plan for InVision V7, you may notice the term active users in your billing. The term active user indicates you're charged for a user in your InVision team.

A user in your team becomes an active (billable) user after opening two or more team documents. These documents may have been accessed:

  • Via document links.
  • Directly from the user InVision account—including any team documents the user created.
  • Via a prototype public share link, only if the user signs in to access Inspect mode.

You aren't charged for any user that falls into one of the following categories:

  • Any team member or guest who opened only one team document.
  • Any user who views or comments on a prototype via a public share link.
Note that the user will becomean active (billable) user if they sign in to their InVision account to access Inspect mode.

To stop getting charged for an active user, the account owner needs to remove the active user from their team. Note that if the removed active user is re-added to the account, it becomes an active user automatically and, therefore, a billable user.
