Can I add prototype screens to a Freehand document?

Follow

With InVision, there are several ways to quickly create Freehand documents from existing prototype screens.

Create a freehand from InVision Cloud

Currently, you cannot create freehands from Studio prototypes in InVision Cloud. You can, however, create freehands directly from the Studio desktop application

To create a Freehand from a prototype:

  1. Sign in to your InVision Cloud account and navigate to the Projects page.
  2. Open the prototype you want to use as the basis for a Freehand document.
  3. Near the top right of the page—next to the Share button—click the cursor icon (collaborate-freehanc-icon.png).

A new Freehand document will appear, pre-loaded with the screens from your prototype. After creating the freehand, don't forget to navigate to the top-left corner and click Save Draft.

If you update the prototype and click the cursor icon again, a new freehand is created. It will not overwrite a previous freehand generated from a prototype. To add to an existing Freehand, you will need to use Craft or Studio.

Create a freehand from Craft

If you have installed the Craft plugin for either Sketch or Photoshop, you have access to Craft Freehand which allows you to turn any Photoshop or Sketch file into a Freehand document. To learn more, check out the respective articles:

Create a freehand from Studio

If you're using Studio for Mac or Windows, you can create Freehand documents from any Studio file. To learn more, check out this article on publishing to Freehand from Studio.
