How do I delete files or folders in DSM?

Follow

If you are an admin or editor in your Design System Manager (DSM) library, you can delete individual files or entire folders.

Note: If you delete a folder, you also delete the files inside that folder. Deleting items or folders from your library is a permanent action. This cannot be undone.

To delete an item or folder in your DSM library:

  1. From Sketch, click the DSM icon (dsm-icon.png), or use the keyboard shortcut Command + L.
  2. Right-click the desired file or folder, and then click Delete
  3. To confirm, click Delete.

You may notice that some root folders cannot be deleted. These folders are integral to the main structure of your DSM library. These folders are:

  • Colors
  • Text Styles
  • Layer Styles
  • Icons

You can, however, rename any of these folders. To learn more about organizing your DSM library, check out this article: Creating and Using Your DSM Library
