What's New in Cloud V7
- Upgrades to Inspect for Studio: You may notice that Inspect for Studio has been upgraded with the latest Studio renderer and engine versions to improve animation performance.
- New icons in InVision: When viewing a Studio prototype in InVision, you'll see that the icons for Play mode, Comment mode, and Inspect mode have been updated.
- Screens Overview page in InVision: The responsiveness of the Screens Overview page has been improved, making the page easier to use (and easier on the eyes) on smaller devices and resolutions.
- Better screen management:
- You can now drag & drop new screens between existing screens within a prototype.
- You can also add a screen section below the last screen in your prototype.
- New color menu in Freehand: It's now quicker to change your default color with the new, more easily discoverable color menu.
- Shortcut for italic text in Freehand: Now you can use the keyboard shortcut Command + I to italicize text.
- New look for Freehand: You will notice a familiar look and feel in Freehand, as the UI has been updated for consistency with other InVision products.
- Comment thread experience: When replying to a thread, the thread now scrolls to the position of the reply and fades out the rest of the thread.
- Sharing with request access: You can now request access from the owner of any document. We’ll send the owner an email letting them know you’d like access. Once access is granted, you’ll get an email letting you know you can now open the document.
- Introducing recently viewed: When you open InVision Cloud V7 (or open the Documents page or All Documents tab), you will now see your documents sorted by Recently Viewed, making it easier to find the documents relevant to you currently.
- Slack notification bundling: If your Cloud V7 space or team has implemented Slack integration, updates to prototype screens trigger notifications in Slack. Those notifications are now bundled together and sent out every three minutes. This improvement will help prevent notification overload when you’re making numerous changes at a time.
- InVision for Jira & InVision for Confluence Updates for both Cloud & Server Add-Ons:
- These updates include performance improvements and an easier installation process for both Jira and Confluence. We have also reinstated limited support for Jira and Confluence servers running without SSL.
- Enterprise Private Cloud Installations: An update is needed in your plugin setup. The previous version of the add-on is being deprecated, so you’ll need to update your plugin prior to November 26th to continue using the integration.
Bug Fixes & Improvements in Cloud V7
- Comment times: The formatting for Date and Time is now consistent for all aspects of commenting. You may also notice that the bug that caused essentially duplicate time stamps has been corrected; previously, you may have seen one time stamp that said "about 24 hours ago" right next to a second time stamp that said "A day ago."
- IE 11 compatibility: Conversations in Cloud V7 are now fully compatible with IE 11.
- Issue with links in email notifications: Emails generated from comments in Cloud V7 now link to the correct document in all cases.
- Issues scrolling on mobile devices:
- You will no longer encounter the bug that prevented artboard scrolling when viewing document links on mobile devices.
- Elastic scroll support on tablet devices has been removed to correct the issue that was allowing over-scroll behavior.
- Issue with transparent backgrounds: Now you won't run into the bug that had caused transparent backgrounds to render as black backgrounds when viewing prototypes in Safari and Firefox.
- Issue with tooltips in Inspect: When using Inspect in Cloud V7, you should no longer see tooltips displayed incorrectly.

- Now if you delete all of your archived screens in Cloud V7, you should not encounter the bug that caused all screens in the prototype to be deleted.
- Issue dragging a screen in a prototype: Now you won't encounter the bug that left the hover state broken when trying to drag a screen in a prototype with only one screen.
- Corrected typo: Now when deleting a prototype, you won't see a typo in the confirmation screen.
