Craft Stock for Photoshop

Craft Stock, powered by Getty Images, allows you to search and place premium, high-resolution images in your designs. Get access to the world’s most trusted and expansive stock collections inside Photoshop.

Note: Before using Craft Stock, you must install Craft Manager and enable the Craft plugins in Photoshop.

Signing in

If you want to purchase and apply images without watermarks, you will need to sign in to your iStock and Getty Images accounts.

To sign in:

  1. Click the Stock plugin icon (craft-stock-icon.png), and then click the iStock or Getty Images tab.
  2. At the bottom of the plugin window, click Sign in.

Repeat this process for both your iStock and Getty Images accounts. If you don’t have an iStock or Getty Images account, you can create an account by navigating to the bottom of the Stock plugin window and clicking Join.

Once signed in, your email address will appear at the bottom of the Stock plugin window to confirm the account you’re using.

Available stock content

Within the Stock plugin window are two separate tabs for iStock and Getty Images. Click the appropriate tab to enter the preferred image library.

iStock contains four categories:

  • All: all iStock images
  • Essentials: popular content from iStock
  • Signature: over 6 million of the best stock images and all premium Vetta™ Collection files
  • My Content: all used and downloaded (purchased) images

Getty Images also contains four categories:

  • All: all Getty images
  • Creative: creative commons licensed images
  • Editorial: a licensed image or video to report or illustrate events that are newsworthy or of general interest
  • My Content: all used and downloaded (purchased) images

Adding an image to Photoshop

To add an image to your design:

  1. Select a layer in your Photoshop file.
  2. Click the Stock plugin icon (craft-stock-icon.png), and then click the iStock or Getty Images tab.
  3. Choose a category (All, Essentials, etc.)
  4. Type your search term and press Enter.
  5. Click the desired image.

The image will appear in the layer with a mask applied.

Purchasing images

Purchasing images from iStock

To purchase an image from iStock:

  1. After completing your iStock search, hover over the desired image.
  2. Click the download icon (download-icon.png).
  3. Choose an image size and click Download this image.

Depending on your plan, you may need to buy additional credits. Follow the prompts to finish purchasing your image through iStock. After purchasing the image, you can access it by navigating to the iStock tab and clicking the My Content category.

Purchasing images from Getty Images

To purchase an image from Getty Images:

  1. After completing your Getty Images search, hover over the desired image.
  2. Click the download icon (download-icon.png).
  3. Click Buy on Getty Images.

Complete your purchase on the Getty Images website. After purchasing, you can access the image by navigating back the Craft Stock plugin. Click the Getty Images tab, and then click the My Content category.
