For the best possible Studio experience, we recommend following the minimum specifications outlined in this article.
Desktop operating systems
We currently support Studio when installed on a Mac computer with macOS 10.11 or later. We also support Studio for Windows when installed on devices using Windows 10 or later with a 64-bit Intel or AMD processor (ARM processors will not be supported). Windows devices with more than 8 GB of RAM are recommended.
While it's not a requirement, we highly recommend that you avoid setting your display to Scaled while working with Studio on a Mac, as this can impact the performance of Studio (and other apps) significantly. Check out Apple's documentation to change your Mac display's resolution.
Browsers
Prototypes published to Document Viewer work best when meeting these browser specifications:
Mobile operating systems
Using Studio’s device mirroring feature, which works with the InVision iOS app, we support viewing your prototypes on mobile devices with iOS 11 or later.
Minimum specifications for graphics cards
To ensure optimal performance, you will want to use Studio on a computer with graphics cards that meet these specifications:
- Intel HD Graphics 5000 and above (found in certain MacBook Air models as early as Mid 2013 and in certain iMac and Mac mini models in 2014)
- Nvidia GeForce GT 650M and above (found in certain MacBook Pro and iMac models as early as Mid 2012)
- ATI Radeon HD 4850 and above (found in certain iMac models early as 2009)
If you're using Studio for Windows, we recommend installing the latest driver directly from the graphics card manufacturer for your device.
The graphics card requirements listed above also apply to using Play mode for Studio prototypes in InVision—whether previewing a Studio prototype uploaded to your InVision account or using a web browser to view a public share link for a Studio prototype.
