As a member of an Enterprise team, you can use password protection when sharing a document via a public share link.

Password protect freehands

To create and share a password-protected public link for a freehand:

  1. Open the freehand and, in the top-right corner, select Share.
  2. In the drop-down menu on the left, select the option Anyone with the link.
  3. Toggle the option to Enable password protection.
  4. Enter the password you want to use, and, if needed, select Copy to copy the password to your clipboard.
  5. Select Copy link to copy the public link URL and share it as desired.
TipWhile it's not possible to revoke a Freehand link, you can prevent guests with the link from accessing it by adding a password, or by updating the existing one. You can also change the settings under Who can open this document? so only team members or invited people can access it.

Password protect prototypes

To create and share a password-protected public link for a prototype:

  1. Open the prototype and, in the top-right corner, select Share.

Alternatively, from the Documents tab, hover over the document thumbnail, and select More (•••) > Share.

  2. In the Share dialog, select the Public tab, and then select Get Public Link.

If there is an existing public link for the document, you won't see the Get Public Link screen.

  3. Click Update public link settings.
  4. Toggle the option to Require a password, type the password you want to use, and then select Done.
  5. Back in the share dialog, copy the public link URL and share it as wanted.

Password protect boards

To create and share a password-protected public link for a board:

  1. Open the board and, in the top-right corner, select Share.

Alternatively, from the Documents tab, hover over the document thumbnail, and select More (•••) > Share.

  2. In the Share dialog, navigate to the Public tab and select Update public link settings.
  3. Toggle the option to Require a password, type the password you want to use, and then select Done.
  4. Back in the share dialog, Copy the public link URL and share it as wanted.

Changing the password for any password-protected public share link you manage will not affect the link. Feel free to update your public link password as needed.
