InVision Cloud V7: How do I download Studio prototype assets in Inspect?

This article provides answers for InVision Cloud V7 only. If you're using V6 of InVision, read this article instead. Not sure which version you're using? Find out now.

Unlike Sketch or Photoshop files, downloading assets from Studio prototypes does not require you to mark items as exportable. All layers, groups, and components in your Studio prototype will be exported to InVision Cloud V7 when publishing via Craft Sync, so you can then download any asset you need while in Inspect mode.

To download an asset:

  1. Open your Studio prototype.
  2. To enter Inspect mode, navigate to the bottom of the page and click the </> icon.
  3. Click the desired layer—either in the layers list or on your prototype screen.
  4. In the right sidebar, click the Assets drop-down arrow.
  5. Under Export Assets, choose a file type (JPG or PNG) and pixel density (.5x, 1x, or 2x).
  6. Click the Suffix field and type an optional suffix for the file name.
  7. Click Download.

The asset will download directly to your computer.
