InVision Cloud V7: How do I integrate Cloud V7 with Confluence Cloud or Server?

This article provides answers for InVision Cloud V7. If you’re on V6 of InVision, read this article instead. Not sure which version you're using? Find out now.

Keep your projects on track with InVision for Confluence. You can embed your prototypes so everyone’s on the same page, and they’ll auto-update as you iterate.

Installing the integration

To install the InVision add-on for Confluence:

  1. From your Confluence home page, click Settings.
  2. Click Manage add-ons.
  3. Search for InVision.
  4. Click Enable.
  5. In your Confluence document, click Edit.
  6. Paste either a public or a non-public document link to your project.
If using a non-public document link, the link permissions must be set to Anyone with the link.
  7. Once you’ve finished editing the rest of your document, click Publish at the bottom of the page to see your document and the embedded InVision prototype.

Alternatively, you can also attach your prototype by following these steps: Click the icon to Insert, click InVisionApp Macro, and then paste the link address in URL field (as shown in the following two screenshots).

Known limitations

There are currently a couple of known limitations for our Confluence add-on:

  • We currently do not support the add-on for Confluence Server instances configured with a proxy.
  • The Confluence Server add-on requires internet access to reach InVision servers.
  • For optimum performance, Confluence Servers should have SSL configured.
