Creating a legacy DSM design system

Follow
This article applies specifically to legacy DSM. For more information on creating a design system in the new DSM, check out this article.

If you're not ready to move to the new DSM, you can still create legacy design systems from the DSM web view.

To create a legacy design system:

  1. Sign in to the DSM web view.
  2. Near the top of the design systems list, click the Create button.
  3. Toggle on Create a legacy design system.
  4. Enter a name. You can also add an optional description and cover image for the design system.
  5. Set permission to Anyone at your organization can view or Only people invited can view.
  6. Click Create.

You can now continue to build your library via the DSM Sketch plugin.

Internet search engines won't index DSM libraries on the web unless your library permissions are set to Public. To learn more about library permissions, check out the DSM roles and permissions.
