Whitelisting for InVision

Follow

If you have a proxy, firewall, VPN, or other network security in place, it's possible that some of InVision's services may be blocked or not function properly.

Fortunately, many IT teams that have implemented network security also have provisions for whitelisting specific services. If you’ve run into issues related to network security restrictions, then you'll need to work with your IT and/or security team to whitelist InVision.

What should I whitelist?

Whitelisting requirements for InVision depend on whether you have a standard account or a Private Cloud account.

Standard accounts (including Enterprise)

To whitelist InVision, your IT/security team will need to know the following list of domains (e.g. auth.invisionapp.com) and ports (e.g. 443) so they can make exceptions for network traffic going to these services.

For our customers using our Private Cloud solutions, you’ll instead need to whitelist the following services. Note that you’ll need to modify the first two, replacing your_subdomain with your specific InVision subdomain. If you’re not sure what value to enter here, please contact InVision Support for guidance.

How do I whitelist?

The process for whitelisting varies depending on the service and device used. As a result, we’re not able to provide specific directions for whitelisting these services. If you believe you’re subject to network security that’s blocking InVision, you’ll need to speak with your IT team for guidance on how to proceed.

Whitelisting video content

In situations where all video content is blocked, regardless of source, whitelisting the following domains will ensure our content—including for Studio onboarding—comes through:

  • *.wistia.com
  • fast.wistia.net
  • embedwistia-a.akamaihd.net
  • litix.io
Domains and ports may change in the future. To be alerted to changes, we suggest following this page. To follow this page, sign in and, at the top right of the page, click the Follow button.
