Replacing screens using Craft
In InVision V6 prototypes, screens synced using Craft are updated based on the screen name. If you want to replace a screen in your prototype that you synced using Craft, you just need to sync a new screen with the same name.
To replace a prototype screen using Craft Sync:
- In Sketch, select the artboards you want to update in your InVision prototype. Make sure the artboard has the same name as the one you want to replace.
- Click the Craft Sync icon (). The Craft Manager modal opens.
- Select the tab Select existing.
- Click the Search for an existing prototype dropdown and select the prototype you want to update.
- Review the settings in the Advanced dropdown area.
- Click Publish.
Replacing a single screen
To replace a prototype screen on InVision V6 without using Craft Sync:
- Sign in to InVision and open the prototype.
- From your Finder window, drag and drop the updated image over the screen thumbnail.
Alternatively, you can also open the screen, then drag and drop the new image over the screen.
Replacing multiple screens
To replace multiple screens at once, each screen must have the same file name as the screen it's intended to replace.
To manually replace multiple prototype screens on InVision:
- Sign in to InVision and open the prototype.
- On the prototype homepage, click the pink plus button and then click Upload Screens. The Finder window opens.
- Select all of the new image files to replace the old screens.
- Click Open.
Replacing screens uploaded via PDF
To replace screens uploaded as PDFs, you'll need to upload the PDF source file again. This will initially sync all screens of the PDF, and afterward sync only the pages in the PDF that have been updated. Comments and hotspots will remain in place.
