Article Summary

Craft Manager handles InVision authentication from your desktop, so only authorized users can view and publish documents for your team.

The Craft Manager sign-in steps vary slightly based on whether you use your email and password only, you use your team's InVision subdomain (e.g., your-domain.invisionapp.com), or you belong to an Enterprise that uses SSO (single sign-on).

Signing in with your email and password

To sign in to your account in Craft Manager:

  1. In the Mac menu bar, click the Craft icon (Craft Manager icon).
  2. Click the Sign In button.
Your browser will open the InVision sign-in page.
Note: If you're already logged in on your browser, step 3 will be skipped.
  3. If you're not yet logged in on your browser, enter your email address and password, and then click Sign in.
Note: If your InVision email is nottied to multiple teams, step 4 will be skipped.
  4. Next to the team you want to launch, click Select.
You should see this message: You have successfully logged in to InVision.
  5. If you're not returned to Craft Manager, click Open Craft Manager.
Clicking a prototype or freehand in the list that appears after signing in will open it in InVision. To publish changes to a prototype or freehand, use the Craft Sync tool.

Signing in with your team domain

If you belong to an Enterprise or other account that uses a custom team domain, use these steps to sign in:

  1. In the Mac menu bar, click the Craft icon (Craft Manager icon).
  2. Click the Sign In button.
Your browser will open the InVision sign-in page.
  3. Below the Email address field, click Know your team domain?
  4. In the Team domain field, enter your team's unique domain—e.g., your-domain.invisionapp.com—and click Continue.
  5. Enter your email address and password, and click Sign In.
You should see this message: You have successfully signed in to InVision.
  6. If you're not returned to Craft Manager once you see the message "You have successfully signed in to InVision," click Open Craft Manager.
Clicking a prototype or freehand in the list that appears after signing in will open it in InVision. To publish changes to a prototype or freehand, use the Craft Sync tool.

Signing in with SSO

If your Enterprise or other team has implemented SSO, use these steps to sign in:

  1. In the Mac menu bar, click the Craft icon (craft-manager-icon.png).
  2. Click Sign In.
Your browser will open the InVision sign-in page.
  3. Below the Email address field, click Know your team domain?
  4. In the Team domain field, enter your team's unique domain—e.g., your-domain.invisionapp.com—and click Continue.
  5. In the SSO dialog that opens, enter your SSO credentials and complete the sign-in flow you have set up in your IdP app.
Note: The IdP sign-in flow will vary slightly depending on your SSO provider—i.e., your IdP app—as well as which InVision version you're on.
  6. If you're not returned to Craft Manager once you see the message "You have successfully signed in to InVision," click Open Craft Manager.
Clicking a prototype or freehand in the list that appears after signing in will open it in InVision. To publish changes to a prototype or freehand, use the Craft Sync tool.

Documents are shown in Craft Manager for the team you are currently signed in to, and are sorted by when they were last updated. Clicking on a prototype or freehand in that list will take you to InVision where you can view the document and make changes.

View documents for one of your other teams by first switching teams within Craft Manager.
