Add freehands to Google Calendar events

If you schedule events with Google Calendar, use InVision for Google Workspace to seamlessly add a freehand to the calendar event. Participants can review the freehand in advance, getting a jump on brainstorming.
Install the app
You must first install the app in your Google Workspace. You can install the app to your individual account, or administrators of the Google Workspace can install it across the workspace.
Install as an individual
To install the app to your individual account:
- Sign in to your Google account.
- Go to the Google Workspace Marketplace and search for InVision.
- Select the InVision app.
- Click Install > Continue.
- Sign in to your Google account.
- Review the requested permissions and click Allow.
Once you've installed the app, an InVision logo appears in your Google Calendar sidebar.
Install as an administrator
Administrators of a Google Workspace can install apps for the entire domain. Read Google’s documentation, Install Marketplace apps in your domain, for instructions.
Add a freehand to a new Google Calendar event
To add a freehand to a new event:
- In Google Calendar, create a new event.
- Click Attachments > InVision Freehand. An InVision modal appears.
- If necessary, click Sign in and enter your InVision email address and password.
Note: if this is your first time using the app, you have to grant access. - Browse the gallery of freehands and click the one you wish to attach.
- Save the event.
The freehand appears on the event details. Everyone invited to the event can visit the freehand from Google Calendar.
Add a freehand to an existing Google Calendar event
To add a freehand to an existing event:
- In Google Calendar, find the existing event.
- Click Edit.
- Click Add attachment > InVision Freehand. An InVision modal appears.
- If necessary, click Sign in and enter your InVision email address and password.
Note: if this is your first time using the app, you have to grant access. - Browse the gallery and select the freehand you wish to include. You can also create a new freehand by clicking Create New. It will take the name of the Google Calendar event.
- Save the event.
The freehand appears on the event details. Everyone invited to the event can visit the freehand from Google Calendar.
Uninstall the app
Uninstall InVision for Google Workspace through Google Marketplace.
Uninstall as an individual
- Sign in to your Google account.
- Go to the Google Workspace Marketplace and search for InVision.
- Select the InVision for Google Workspace app.
- Click Uninstall > Uninstall App.
Uninstall as an administrator
Administrators of a Google Workspace can uninstall InVision for Google Workspace for their entire organization. Read Google’s documentation, Uninstall a Google Workspace Marketplace app, for instructions.
